To create a safe and collaborative space for you to incubate ideas for your wedding- with no rules as to what the day can hold, and no judgement for your “non-traditional” choices.
You might be wondering…
Where does the name Trail Magic come from?
Long story short, it comes from 10+ years of being best friends! Our friendship evolved from genuine experiences we shared together in nature. THEN, Becca, epic person that she is, hiked the entire 2000+ mile Appalachian Trail in 2022, with Hannah supporting her from afar. When we came together to build this brand, we revisited many memories from our time wandering trails together. Then, we came across this definition of Trail Magic that resonated to our core.
Although commonly understood as being a kind act of service that a stranger or community member leaves on trail for thru hikers, Trail magic is defined by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy as something even more magical, “Finding what you need most when you least expect it; experiencing something rare, extraordinary, or inspiring in nature.”
Immediately, we knew Trail Magic was the essence of our friendship- and embodied the care, presence, and support we wanted to extend to each of our couples.
Why did we decide to be a planning & photo team?
Ultimately, it’s because we want our client experience for couples to be as seamless as possible. We recognized a gap in the Elopement/Small Wedding industry with couples opting into non-traditional routes but still feeling overwhelmed by the amount of details that come with planning even a small event.
Instead of offering limited planning assistance like many elopement photographers, we decided to create services that take almost everything off of our couple’s plates, and the best way we could do that was as a team!

Where you can find her when she’s not working?
In the middle of an alpine lake, sitting in her inflatable kayak, probably thinking about how much she loves her dog, Moko.
Where you can find her on your wedding day?
Everywhere and nowhere, managing to capture the sweetest of photos without being in your face, letting the moments unfold naturally. Consistently asked, “How did you even get that shot?”

Also everywhere and nowhere, getting everything done behind the scenes, but somehow always there when you need her. The queen of getting asked, “When the heck did you get this done?”
